Is the AI Act risk-class tester free?

Yes. The tester is entirely free and requires no email or signup. You can run it as many times as you need — for different business units, systems, or use cases.

Does the EU AI Act apply to small companies too?

Yes. The AI Act applies to every organisation using AI in the EU — regardless of company size. There are some softer fine thresholds for SMBs, but documentation duties are the same as for large enterprises.

What happens on 2 August 2026?

The EU AI Office's enforcement powers activate. The AI Office can request information, order model recalls, mandate mitigations, and impose fines. In addition, general-purpose AI (GPAI) and high-risk system obligations enter into full force.

Do you store the data I enter?

No. The test runs entirely in your browser — we do not store the industry, use cases, or results on our servers. You can use the tester safely even from internal systems where data must not leave the organisation.

How do I know if I fall into the high-risk category?

High-risk uses include AI in recruitment, credit assessment, insurance pricing, education scoring, law enforcement, critical infrastructure, and healthcare. The tester shows precisely which of your selected use cases fall into the high-risk category.

Can I export the results as a PDF report?

Yes. The results page has a PDF download button that produces a report covering the risk classification, selected use cases, obligation list, and industry-specific note. The PDF is designed to be shared with your board, IT lead, or compliance owner.

Which authority supervises the AI Act in Finland?

In Finland the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom serves as the national market surveillance authority for the AI Act. Traficom publishes evolving guidance at traficom.fi/tekoaly and answers domestic-company questions.
